All postage will be done via royal mail. If you have ordered a kit then this will be posted to you within 7 working days.

Once you return your wax ring to me you will receive the finished piece within 3 weeks if you have not added any extras.

I do accept returns of unopened kits within 30 days and you will receive a full refund minus the initial postage cost.

After 30 days you can receive a refund in the form of a gift certificate for Doodles or for my own jewellery store - Sylvah Jewellery.

If you ordered the wrong size wax please email me to sort out an exchange.

I only use recycled sterling silver & gold. Using recycled versions of these materials doesn’t decrease or change the composition or purity of the metal. The metal costs a fraction more but from a sustainability point of view I believe this is the right choice. All packaging is as eco-friendly as I could feasibly make it and all is recyclable. I made the pouches for your tools to go in from scrap fabric and all your tools should last you a lifetime.

As you have designed your dream piece in solid sterling silver you will hopefully enjoy the piece for many years to come.

All pieces which you choose to get gold plated will have a 2.5 micron layer of gold electroplated onto a sterling silver base. This makes them Gold Vermeil. Gold Vermeil pieces are made purely from precious metals, unlike gold-plated items, and have a much thicker coating gold. Gold Vermeil pieces must have at least a 2.5-micron layer whereas gold-plating only requires a minimum of 0.5 microns. This means the piece contains 5x the gold and is, therefore, far more durable. 18ct gold is an alloy which contains 75% pure gold and if you chose the rose gold plating this is what you will receive. The yellow gold plating is 23.8ct, nearlly 100% solid gold.

These kits are suitable for complete beginners with no knowledge of jewellery making. All the steps will be explained in detail via online tutorials.

As a bladed craft knife is supplied with the kits you must be over 16 to purchase or use the kits.

This is, however, a very small blade and through many years of wax carving I have never cut myself with it!
